For the majority of people, learning to drive in a manual car has been the usual way to go. Manual Cars have a gearbox that requires the driver to change from one gear to another as necessary. Unlike automatic cars, manual Cars also have a clutch pedal which is required to be operated by the driver in order to change gear. In today's busy congested roads more and more people are switching to automatic cars or are learning to drive in an automatic car as there is no clutch pedal and no gear changes to worry about.
If you have a choice then there are two factors to consider. If you pass your test in an automatic car you will not be eligible to drive a manual vehicle unless you do so as a learner driver. If you pass your driving test in a manual vehicle you are eligible to drive both automatic and manual cars.
Which ever type of car you choose, manual or automatic, the content of the course will be the same, with a few exceptions. You will still receive the same high standard of tuition from our instructors and will learn in modern, clean and comfortable cars, all fitted with dual controls for your safety.
